Black History Month 2020

October 2020 is Black History Month and Richmond Council will be celebrating the achievements and contributions of Black people in Richmond upon Thames.
Black History Month 2020

The London Borough of Richmond-Upon-Thames is looking to create an online exhibition aimed at sharing stories from residents' past & present and reflecting on Black history in Richmond.

If you are Black and live, work or are educated in Richmond Upon Thames, tell your story!

#OurStories
  • It could be the history of your family in the borough.
  • It could be about your role in the community, the achievements and most poignant memories of living, working and studying in Richmond.
  • Richmond is looking forward to hear about your family culture or heritage such as your traditional foods, music, arts and traditions.

Please let us know if you are interested in the event by completing THIS form.

Submit your story HERE. Photos and videos are welcome.

Your story will be used to create an online exhibition that will launch in October called #OurStories. Look out for it on Twitter and Richmond borough Newsletters.
